Harrison cages
What types of cages did Harrison use? I want the one he used that did not have the split at the bottom. I am sure McLean's mask used that one. I know there are the HM30 cut off ones and the ones that look like Eddy cages. I want to make a Bester leaf mask but I cant find a cage I like. The Itech one doesnt go back far enoug but it is the closest yet.

Re: Harrison cages
Back in highschool, I had a friend who actually got to meet with Greg at his shop. He said Greg made all his own cages.

Re: Harrison cages
My old teamate Lindsay Middlebrook still has his early Harrison combo. The cage which is still original to the mask, is just a cut down Cooper HM30. Darren Pang told me that the cage on his Harrison mask from the late 80's, is stainless steel. I'm meeting with Lindsay in 5 weeks and I asked him to bring his mask so I can look at it closely and take a few more pictures of it.

Re: Harrison cages
The older ones all look like HM30 cages. I have a cut down HM30 but its the crappy Bauer one. I dont want a mask to be screwed if the cage bends as I cant find a replacement. I really dont want to cut up my HM330. I was thinking about using the Eddy cage but I dont want to to be too long. It seems like Belfour and Potvin used that type of cage.

Re: Harrison cages
I have a Harrison cage like the one you're talking about; he has them made at OTNY like everyone else. He told many people he made them but OTNY makes them for him. They won't make you "one" like Harrisons you would have to have several made.

Re: Harrison cages
Oh thanks Gary. could you show me a picture?
I would like to get a collection of the early 90's masks. That seems to be my romantisized era of hockey along with all white pads and curved blockers etc.

Re: Harrison cages
Could you take a measurement for me Gary. Laying the cage face up could you measure how far it is from the "nose" to the table or whatever you laid the cage on. The Itech 961 cage seems to look the same but doesnt look like it goes back as far.
Thanks
