mask photography tips

hey guys. I posted on the board about a year ago then drifted into lurk mode. I have spent the last week or so poring over all the great stuff. I'd love to post some pics of my Higgins. Made for me in 1989. Pretty late I think? That said I am having a really tough time getting pictures that are any good. Tips especially lighting and flash/no flash are greatly appreciated.
thanks,
    dave

I like to use a good lamp, and turn off the flash, flash often make the picture too bright. Or I go more far away and zoom, so I dont get a so bright picture.

I've found that a lamp creates too many shadows. TThe best bet is to go outside with the sun at your back, and take the photo. Natural light is always best.

or try taking your shirt off and go to your bathroom........
