Harrison made Lindbergh mask
Here are some pictures of my custom Pelle Lindbergh style mask that was made by Greg Harrison. About 9 years ago I was lucky enough to have Greg make a mold of my face in his shop in Brampton, Ont and design the mask off my mold. I waited 4 long years for him to finish it, but in the end I was very happy with my mask. I kept asking him if it was gonna look like Lindbergh's because his was my favorite mask of alltime. He told me that my face wasn't as chubby as Lindbergh's, and that my facial features wern't the same as Pelle's so it wasn't gonna look like Lindbergh mask, it was gonna look like a "Plante style mask" that was fit to MY face. The craftmanship on this mask is truely amazing.

Re: Harrison made Lindbergh mask
Very nice mask, as expected from a legend. I'd bet it fits perfectly, how is it's protection?? Have you taken a shot to the melon with it on??

Re: Harrison made Lindbergh mask
Way nice - Harrison's work is amazing!!!! Everyfacet is so precise as with all the masks I have handled of his. Even that backplate looks so evenly done.

Re: Harrison made Lindbergh mask
Now if he could only get people there masks without making them wait for years.
It is REALLY nice.
However, I am seeing the masks on here made by several makers coming really close to that quality. That is a somthing. They are not far off!
Is that an actual fibro backplate?

Re: Harrison made Lindbergh mask
I see he didn't use the usual circlular pattern around the ear. It really looks good that way though. I wonder what his reasoning behind the large flare on the top is though.

Re: Harrison made Lindbergh mask
It does fit perfectly flush on my face. The vision is perfect- It doesn't really feel like you have a mask on. It in no way impeads the movement of your head in any way (looking down). I've had it like 5 years now but have only worn it on the ice a few times. Truthfully I don't really feel comfortable wearing full fiberglass especially against guys that can shoot- but sometimes it's the guys that can't shot that you have to be carefull of IMO. I bought this mask more as a novelty item. As for the price, if you have bought 4 replica masks you could buy one of these (don't replicas go for $400-450?), but it's pretty scary to wait 4 years, and I've heard stories of guys that have waited longer. For me, my mask collection $$$ was basically all put into one basket- and that was this mask. I have no regrets once so ever. The mask to me is the real deal and the experiance that I had getting it was amazing -meeting a prolific maskmaker- the guy couldn't possibly be any more eccentric- but it was all part of the experiance.

Re: Harrison made Lindbergh mask
Brian, you were asking me what kind of backplate Harrison made for this mask- here it is. It's well made and probably similar to the one St.Laurent had on his. I like it, but I put my fibrosport backplate on it because thats what Lindbergh had on his. This one just sits in a box for now...

Well, I've also been called an "eccentric" = so this intrigues me now - in your own words, can you explain why you'd say Greg Harrison was "eccentric"? - I'd really like to find out -
