You bought them off this omnibusspress monkey and they were 32" then? It appears his legs did grow longer over 5 years as he's wearing XXL now. He must look like Naomi Campbell when he goes swimming.

Re: Cooper GP95 XXL Pads
I remember those they were GP59L's. I did not know you bought them Leo, Good pads. They were too short for me really. Ideally i should wear XL's in coopers.
Coxie, we were playing at 8 rinks in Burnaby.
When am I going to meet you. Your as elusive as Santa Claus himself.

Plante, I was back in Vancouver to see Springsteen and was at the Esposito signing. I can't imagine how much Vancouver keeps changing each time I go back. I hope you bought real estate.
I'll be back soon and I haven't seen or heard from Deluca in months.

Re: Cooper GP95 XXL Pads
Deluca just completed a tine of mask orders. He just had his knee fix again on Friday. You should call him and wish him well.

Re: Cooper GP95 XXL Pads
I just got this game with Ernie Wakely and Al Smith. Ernie Wakely is wearing my pads with the large Cooper down the leg in 78. I did not know that design was out that early in 1978.

Re: Cooper GP95 XXL Pads
Wore them twice now. They are perfect size for me which I am incredibly happy and surprized with and they rock. They are not fully broken in and I can now feel how warm and slightly heavier Deerhair is. But I like it! I am definatly getting deerhair with my Miller/Keneskys.
The other goalies pads are still taller than mine.

While on the pads subject, I see the current NHL (and new pads wearers) wear most of their straps very loose. When I wear vintage pads, I like the straps tight except the top strap. How do the new goalies keep their pads from flopping around?
They want them to flop quite a bit. They call it “rotation” and the point is to get the pad to stand up on the edge when they go down in the butterfly…which they do on every shot nowadays.
