My new mask!
Thought we could use this section for all the charming rare platic masks that are becoming so collectable and valueable. Anyone seen the price of a vintage Mylecs or Coopers lately?
Here is a mask I received today I think it is either a Marietta (made in Texas) or a Winwell but it came from the US and was originally bought in Chicago according to the owner so I am thinking it is a Marietta. Perhaps some of the experts here can chime in and help...

Re: My new mask!
Marietta - now that's a name from the past -Didn't Plante wear one in practce sessions before the Birchmore model.
Gary Kurt used to cut out his earlier masks just like that - his Seals mask for instance.
It looks like a Winwell but I'm certainly not sure. I used to play against a goalie regularly who wore one back in the day. A funny story about him comes to mind - one game against him I see his teammates holding him by the shoulders and escorting to and from the nets. Between periods I go over and say hey Rob - what is wrong that you need help. He shows me one leg with a cast from hip to ankle. I go what the f..k -he comes back with a classic line - Steve-its the latest in stand-up goaltending.

Re: My new mask!
Well it looks really similar to this Marietta. But could it just be like Different Distribution in different countries and might the WInnwell be the same mask?

Re: My new mask!
I think the key now is to dig out an old catalog or ad with a Winwell model and compare - it certainly does look like the one on the bottom.

Re: My new mask!
They look exactly the same:
In the Ken Dryden Pretzel posts I've put up, this is the kind of mask I suspect that Dryden's mask was made from or used as a reference.
I have a Winwell that looks practically identical, though possibly smaller than the pictures above.

Bernie Those are nice. Seems like coopers are really hard to find these days and going up in value like Mylec! The one i like is that clear cooper mask.. i think someone posted it here..
