"Airbrushed" Vintage Hockey Cards

I always loved these types of cards where they painted in the new uniform of a player who got traded. At first I was going to call them airbrushed, but it's clear someone just painted these in with a brush. You would never see anything like this today with everything being so slick. I love how Meloche has the road "green" jersey versus someone in the original road red Barons. Also, for the Malarchuk one it looks like they pasted in a piece of someone's Jofa helmet.

Lol!!! Yep, I collected cards too as a kid and those painted cards were beauties! I still have all of my old hockey cards from the 70's and 80's. Even though some of them are cheesy, they are pretty cool.. Those guys who made the cards must have been lazy or in a hurry!

If anyone doubts what a revolution Photoshop is, "here's your sign". Bouchard and Malarchuk's masks look so natural...
