Didn't realize those were replacement straps. I thought the mask was a little earlier than that? When you look at the mask straight on, it doesn't appear quite so circular, but the design of the Habs symbol certainly is altered. Always loved the mask, i wore it when i was a kid too. Anyone have a guesstimate on value?nondisclosed_email@example.com (Hubba33)Thu, 09 Jan 2014 09:23:32 +0000 Re: Hi There! / Can anyone help with what mask i have??https://bvintagegoaliemaskdiscussionpage.runboard.com/p273502,from=rss#post273502https://bvintagegoaliemaskdiscussionpage.runboard.com/p273502,from=rss#post273502Love the mask and the paint, very creative. This mask could be as early as 68-70nondisclosed_email@example.com (Guardian 1)Wed, 08 Jan 2014 20:07:18 +0000 Re: Hi There! / Can anyone help with what mask i have??https://bvintagegoaliemaskdiscussionpage.runboard.com/p273500,from=rss#post273500https://bvintagegoaliemaskdiscussionpage.runboard.com/p273500,from=rss#post273500That's definitely a Louch, I managed to find a nice clean example over on Classic Auctions: Here's the original strap set-up too: Looks like your dad had an eye for graphic design, Don. I love the simple, fresh approach and haven't considered making the Habs crest a circle before (as a Habs fan myself). There's something about painted plastics that I enjoy - the quaintness perhaps, or, the fact I remember as a kid having to make the most of what little you had monetary wise. Another member here had a painted Mylec in a Bannerman style - looked awesome. I don't know if the image is still around.nondisclosed_email@example.com (Ultra Mundane)Wed, 08 Jan 2014 17:38:52 +0000 Re: Hi There! / Can anyone help with what mask i have??https://bvintagegoaliemaskdiscussionpage.runboard.com/p273499,from=rss#post273499https://bvintagegoaliemaskdiscussionpage.runboard.com/p273499,from=rss#post273499Heres some pics Don sent me of his mask. Looks like a Louch with Cooper straps. nondisclosed_email@example.com (NJ Hitman)Wed, 08 Jan 2014 15:07:52 +0000 Re: Hi There! / Can anyone help with what mask i have??https://bvintagegoaliemaskdiscussionpage.runboard.com/p273497,from=rss#post273497https://bvintagegoaliemaskdiscussionpage.runboard.com/p273497,from=rss#post273497Sounds like a Winn-Well road hockey mask based on your description.   nondisclosed_email@example.com (NJ Hitman)Wed, 08 Jan 2014 12:35:07 +0000 Hi There! / Can anyone help with what mask i have??https://bvintagegoaliemaskdiscussionpage.runboard.com/p273496,from=rss#post273496https://bvintagegoaliemaskdiscussionpage.runboard.com/p273496,from=rss#post273496Hi everyone....my name is Don, big Habs fan, have always followed Habs goalies. Wondered if you fine folks could help and tell me a little more about my vintage mask. I've had this mask for ever, my Dad had it painted for me in the early 80s. The straps on the mask have Cooper HM7 on it, but i've been curious about the era. I've only seen pics on the net of mask with two eyeholes yet mine has 1 hole that narrows over the bridge of the nose. i was hoping you all may be able to help with some details. Sorry i couldn't figure out how to post a pic of it! Thanks Don nondisclosed_email@example.com (Hubba33)Wed, 08 Jan 2014 09:15:49 +0000
