I'm pretty sure they didn't have the center double bar Cooper HM30 in 1979. I can't really comment on the rest but it doesn't seem consistent with any pictures.

The wording of that auction is somewhat ambiguous.
"Cooper Helmet Mask same as last worn by Plasse during the 1978-79 Season"

I did a classic auctions search. This stuff sold some years back as part of his collection for a little under 400 bucks. Not sure what the letter says but I agree, I couldn't find anything in photos that matched the gear.

This is gear that Michel used in alumni games during the 80's. Some of it is may be game worn from the 70's.

I thought that those were WinnWell in the '70s. I didn't think Cooper ended up licensing the design until the early '80s.
Upon further research, he was wearing an HM30 cage with a CCM HT-2 with the occasional Cooper SK600, but mainly a CCM HT-2.
He could have worn an SK2000, but like neums said, it could have been from his old timer's games.

Each item is autographed by Plasse. I like the trapper, waffle and Kenesky pads, the leg pads alone must be worth $300 or more...
BUT Plasse's autographed CUP, I would pass on them :-) mehhhhhhhhh :-)

The double bar HM30 was for the Cooper XL-7, which was not available in '78-79.
