Jofa leg pad set

I just bought this Jofa leg pad set off e bay, 100 bucks, I'm hoping to get the blue spray paint off the knee [sign in to see URL], some knucklehead spray painted the middle knee roll [sign in to see URL] 100 bucks, they looked like the leg pad set to complete my vintage gear set. I did some research on how to remove paint from leather which gave me the confidence I could remove it. I'll look into vandal remover too, great idea. Spray paint is another animal all together. Thanks for the tip

Probably not a good idea to use any kind of paint remover or solvent on those. Right now the spray paint is just a layer on top of the leather. If you use a solvent, it will dilute the paint and soak into the leather like a stain. Try something slightly abrasive first like polishing compound. I used polishing compound to get black paint off a pair of navy blue Lefabvre pads with great results. Those were jenpro, but it should work on leather too. Afterwards, you will need to mink oil the cleaned off area really well.
