Never knew Dave Dryden wore a combo/ cage LOL MAGE, Cask.
I wonder if Ken, if he played longer, would have too!? I believe he would have especially because his pretzel resembles a cage.

Well I answered my own question via Google... KEN DRYDEN did test a combo mask in practice before he retired AND I just learned that Dave Dryden introduced the Combo Mask to the NHL... >>>Ken's Combo link here<<<

Ken Dryden would have had to change masks one way or another, his red white & blue mask was pretty battered by the time he retired. Guessing that he would have gone to the combo-cage mask, that would make perfect sense.

I remember when I was a wee lad and a few would cut up Mylec goalie masques and throw a Pro-tec cage on to replicate our favourite goalies, as no combos were available to the general public.
I commented that Dave Dryden's masque is not all that far removed from the Sportmask Mage.
