Craigslist JOFA Bourdon pads
These are the pads I picked up a few weeks ago. I did some work on them. Replaced the top and bottom wear strips, replaced all the buckles, patched a small hole near the toe on the left pad. The side wings were missing from one pad, so I used the existing ones as a pattern to make new wings for both pads. They are Bernie Parent size at about 30" with 3 straps. They came out pretty nice after some work!

Beautiful Pads Neums. Bourdons (and Kenesky's) are the Holy Grail for me. YOU certainly have a knack for finding these gems.They would be great to display at Toronto MaskFest. lol

This pair was in a Craigslist Chicago ad, so they were only about 10 miles from my home. The ad only said something like "vintage goalie pads", but I noticed the little thigh rise tag in the picture. When I called the seller he confirmed that the tag said Bourdon, so I was at his house with cash in my hands within the hour! He told me that he wore these pads in high school and that he originally bought them at a Play It Again Sports store in Arizona.

I had a pair of Bourdon pads like these about seven years ago that were stuffed with kapok. These are stuffed with some kind of wool-like brown material that I have never seen before. I showed this picture to Glenn Miller and he thinks it is nylon rug yarn fibers. Strange that I have never seen a pair of Bourdons stuffed with deer hair.

They probably should have stuck with the deer hair. For a pair this small these are quite heavy.
