Odd Bruins
I have been wondering lately if I’m losing my mine. I remembered EJ had an odd glove for a lot of one season, but could never find a photo of it. The thing on his cuff looked like the knee pad that was taken from a forward’s shin pad; he may have had two gloves so modified as I recall one that looked different from the photo too, it seemed to have some of the felt not just the plastic cup.
The second is of Gerry’s close to full Higgins. He’d warm up wearing this one, but I do not ever recall seeing him play a game in it.
Oh the wonders of a Google search!

Re: Odd Bruins
I seem to remember Cooper Weeks trappers having that knee pad type wrist guard on them. But his looks added to me. Cheevers practice mask I have seen before. I don't know if I ever saw him wearing it but I have a few photos of him in it.

Re: Odd Bruins
That add on to the cuff was started by Dan Bouchard, I believe, when he was with the Boston Braves, Boston's AHL affiliate.
