forehead deflectors
this is a j. brown mask I am working on . since it is a new mold , I had to graft the deflectors . I used 25 - 28 oz weaves (4-5 layers over marked out lines .

after the layers are are glasses over the lines, add strips of of 8.5 oz. cloth over the deflectors , then add add a large layer of cloth over forehead and form deflectors with thumb and pointing finger .

Very nice.
Please excuse the stupid question, but did you apply mat in rough lines and then carve it down to sharp lines? Still trying to understand how forehead deflectors are added (other than those who build it on to the plug).

I take thick strands from 25oz. weave . glass them to my mapped out lines ,then cut 1/2 inch wide 8.5 oz. cloth and lay them over the strands . when you get the height you want, cover the forehead with 1 large piece of cloth . then form deflectors with your fingers when resin is still wet .good luck ., jeff.
