I'm in the club~!
Bren31 is over here tonight. I stripped this down before he came over. I might leave it or I might get Pothitos to paint it Grey..
Here's a couple shots. I am toying with the idea of getting the signature or the maple leap printed onto a clear sticker first I need to figure out which one this mask would've had then I need to get a sticker or make one with a photograph of someone's who has it.

Re: I'm in the club~!
Thats a nice one, I wouldn't paint it just use cheap grey primer from Canadian tire;the best colour match is the grey "automotive " stuff. it's a close match and no gloss. You can get a can for less than $10.00. Yours looks like it was really well madethe holes don't look too "off" and they're filked by the looks of it. Nice size (and shaped) eye holes too.

Re: I'm in the club~!
What is the finish on the original fibrosports? Flat or Glossy Grey? And did they clear coat them? Also were they sprayed or brushed?

Re: I'm in the club~!
It was great to see this mask, especially without the paint. You can see the different types of cloth used. The inside looks like roving, a very big weave. On the outside it looks like there may be a very fine finishing-type cloth to give it a smooth final finish.
I guess these were made in some kind of 2-part mold to give it a smooth finish? If anyone knows the exact procedure used to make these masks, please let us know.

Maybe Jacques Plante's Son could be tracked down. The hairy guy with the beard.. We could ask him some questions.

Re: I'm in the club~!
They used a two part "compression" mould system under heat; this way there is little sanding

Re: I'm in the club~!
No, I used spray on stipper and then scuff pads why? There is only a little paint left on it should I get it all off before painting? Do I need to sand? I don't really want to sand it down. It's thin enough already.
