Mint Brown JB11
I tried to sell all my gear 1 year ago,Thanks to you guys now I'm buying gear......Here is a side by side view of my newly purchased jb11 with my 1980 jb11.There are subtle differences in the gloves.First a wrist strap, cuff logo,2 piece finger protection, the logo on the front sits up higher and is bigger also the thumb is stamped "PRO JB11".It still has the tag in the cuff.
does anyone know when the newer blocker was made??
thanks John

Re: Mint Brown JB11
Probably 1987 or 1988.

Re: Mint Brown JB11
I just sold one very similar recently. Probably made around the same time. This one was a JB10 though. The back and side gussets are nylon instead of leather to save weight.

Re: Mint Brown JB11
Did you find the glove palm to thick or stiff to the point where it is hard to grab or feel the stick??Maybe it's just not broken in yet.

Re: Mint Brown JB11
It came in a bag of gear I found while on vacation in Michigan. There was also a beautiful pair of tan leather JB250 leg pads with the same red nylon sides. As much as I liked the pads, they were just a bit too short for me. Since the blocker matched the pads, I sold them both so somebody could keep them as a set. The palm was thick, but it wasn't something that would have bothered me.
